This is my first blog, everr. But here we go!
The past two days (Thursday and Friday) with the help of my dear mother and best friend Kelsey, I have semi put my classroom together. While at the school I have:
1. Met two theater teachers (both so nice)
2. Made a BTF (Best teacher friend, already)
3. Met some drill team girls
4. Found out I teach 7 Speech classes in a row, but have 8th period off everyday!
5. Calculated that my school is 38 miles away from my house
It has been a crazy couple of days and I have spent SOME money. But hopefully this stuff with last me for 37 years+ of teaching, just like it has lasted for my mom. I am still nervous about money, but I know God will provide everything I need. He has already given me a lot of the tools I need and has definitely calmed my nerves about one of my biggest fears... the teachers not liking/accepting me. Hour 1 that I was in the school, the teacher across the hall came over introduced himself and gave me so much insight to the ins and outs of teaching there. Day 2 I was invited to my first teacher hangout. Already, everyone has been so welcoming. I guess we will see how it goes on Tuesday which is my first teacher inservice! Until then...
